C. Edward Rose, Jr., MD founded Good Soil Good Fruit Ministry, which encourages people to receive Jesus Christ and then grow in His image and become disciple-makers. Ed has been an elder and part of medical mission teams to India, Bolivia, and Honduras. He continues to lead Bible studies and discipleship groups. His passion is to share the gospel and disciple men and women to become mature Christ followers to bear fruit including becoming disciple-makers.
Ed is Professor Emeritus of Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Following his clinical and research training, he and Karren moved to Charlottesville, Virginia where he was a pulmonary and critical care medicine professor for more than forty years. Over this time, Ed taught medical students and residents in classrooms, clinics, and on the wards. Ed continues to practice medicine in a free clinic in Lynchburg, Virginia. He and Karren reside in Charlottesville, Virginia. They have two children and six grandchildren.
